Two South Florida restaurants announced Tuesday they are opening locations next year in Brickell City Centre.
Pubbelly Sushi and Pasión del Cielo will join a host of other retail tenants inside a 500,000-square-foot shopping center at Brickell City Centre. The $1.05 billion, mixed-use development from Swire Properties takes up several blocks centered around Southeast Seventh Street and South Miami Avenue. The restaurant and café are targeting fall 2016 openings.
Opening sooner than that: Uruguayan-based restaurant Quinto La Huella, coming this winter to the new East Miami hotel and residences, also part of Brickell City Centre.
“We are partnering with restaurants that appeal to the many different diners walking through Brickell City Centre every day: the residents of our condominium towers, visitors from the hotel, office workers from our office towers, and our surrounding neighbors and visitors,” Debora Overholt, Swire’s senior retail director, said in a statement.
Pasión del Cielo operates four gourmet coffee shops in Miami-Dade. The Pubbelly Restaurant Group opened Pubbelly Sushi in 2013 at 1424 20th St., in Miami Beach’s Sunset Harbour neighborhood. Besides the Brickell expansion, Pubbelly also is opening a restaurant called PB Station in the Langford Hotel at 101 SE First St. in downtown Miami.
