Why they’re in the Food 50: My Ceviche has what it takes to make the next big fast-casual splash on Wall Street, a la Shake Shack. Its talented duo of chef Sam Gorenstein (formerly of BLT Steak) and businessman Roger Duarte has spread My Ceviche from a hole-in-the-wall original location attached to a South Beach hostel to spots in Brickell, South Miami and (coming soon to) midtown, Coral Gables and Miami International Airport, with out-of-town expansion in the works. They’ve also just announced a new fast-casual concept, Laffa Mediterranean Kitchen, opening this spring in Brickell. Wall Street, look out.
