Solutions to Herald Hunt

Here are the solutions to the 2008 Herald Hunt: Do-re-mi Puzzle: Hunters arrived at Bicentennial Park to find a huge three-by-four grid pattern on the grass. In each grid square was a large image. The images included a deer, Ray Charles, a name tag, a marathon runner, a needle and thread, a Dodgers baseball cap with ''LA'' on it, a teacup, the word ''oz.'' repeated 16 times and the Star of David.

Herald Hunt's riddles confounding, but teamwork wins

The clues were as perplexing as the puzzle they were supposed to solve: Julie Andrews' ''Do-Re-Mi'' illustrated with pictures arranged in the form of a telephone dial pad; a flying sheep, followed by a woman caught in a big butterfly net; a tiny plastic back scratcher and a performer urging the audience to give itself ``a big hand.''

About the Herald Hunt

Are you ready for another round of warped, twisted, "so much fun it should be illegal" antics on the streets of South Florida? Then put on your thinking cap and save the date for the 2008 Herald Hunt, Sunday, October 26! The Hunt will kickoff at Bicentennial Park in Downtown Miami at Noon.

- First place team wins a 4-night vacation package to Amelia Island Platation, including one dinner for four, and one round of golf on their championship course for 4.

- Second place team will win 4 tickets to the Wizard of Oz, coming to the Arsht Center on October 28th

- Third place team will win 4 tickets to corteo by Cirque du Soleil on Saturday, December 13 at Bicentennial Park.

With Dave Barry campaigning, as usual, for President of the United States and Tom Shroder as his running mate, this year’s Hunt will mirror the election race madness.

You don’t need to be registered or affiliated to play, just get out there and support your candidate, who promises not to reveal the secrets of the Hunt, no matter how large your bribes… err, campaign donations.

Come and Party with us after the Hunt at Bongo's. Be a part of the official After Party at Bongo's at the American Airlines Arena. There will be food and drink specials for hungry (and thirsty) Hunters. (Did anyone say "Mojito?")

By the way, sign up to receive text messages from Dave! A great new technical innovation from the Techno Geeks at Hunt.
