Why I don’t read poetry

Yes, I know April is National Poetry Month and that the O, Miami festival is in full swing. But I can’t be bothered.

I don’t read poetry:

▪  Because I had a bad experience with a quatrain.

▪  Because it would sound a lot better set to music.

▪  Because I’m binge watching “Better Call Saul.”

▪  Because I’m stuck in traffic on the Palmetto.

▪  Because I just never think of it.
