Ah, the pencil! Waxing nostalgic for that fine lead point, the font of creativity. Whatever happened to the pencil? From it arose the world's greatest sketches and poems, but the ball-point pen came to shove it aside.

Fish inside your junk drawer. Find the pencil unseen for 10 years and unused for longer. Give it a fresh point, smell the cut wood, put the tip to paper and dream again.

For almost three years, since October 2014, my “Back In My Day” videos have proved to be a very popular segment on my Tuesdays co-hosting on the Dan LeBatard Show With Stugotz, airing 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. locally on 790 The Ticket and 10-1 nationally on ESPN Radio.

The short videos are a social commentary, usually a curmudgeonly rant about minor stuff, often humorous (well, we hope), and seldom about sports.

Now, for the first time, the catalog of our BIMD videos is coming to Herald readers at MiamiHerald.com and on the Herald Sports Facebook page.
