The Florida Panthers rank first among South Florida pro sports teams and the Miami Dolphins last in a J.D. Powers 2017 Fan Experience Study made public Wednesday.
The national marketing company analyzed 67 pro teams in 11 major markets, including the four in Greater Miami. The survey considered seven factors: seating/game experience; security/ushers; leaving game; arriving at game; food/beverage; ticket purchase; and souvenirs/merchandise.
On a 1,000-point scale the highest grade nationally was 819 for the New York Red Bulls of Major League Soccer, and the the lowest grade was 710 for the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles.
In South Florida the Panthers scored 813, the Miami Marlins 807, the Miami Heat 792 and the Dolphins, despite stadium upgrades, scored 773.

Overall, among the 67 pro teams surveyed, the Panthers ranked tied for fourth, the Marlins were eighth, the Heat tied for 17th, and the Dolphins tied for 41st.
