Amauri sure knows how to make a good impression.
The Italian forward scored twice in his home debut with the Fort Lauderdale Strikers on Saturday, his second marker a spectacular goal off a bicycle kick which was so fancy it made the top 10 of ESPN’s SportsCenter that night.
In three games with the Strikers, Amauri has three goals.

His first goal Saturday gave the Strikers a 1-0 lead; his highlight reel goal snapped a 1-1 tie in the 77th minute as the Strikers eventually beat the Ottawa Fury 3-1 to christen their new home at the Central Broward Stadium in style.
Since joining the Strikers on Aug. 9, Amauri has three goals — his first coming minutes after entering for the initial time against Miami FC at FIU.
Despite a rough start to their fall campaign, the Strikers have won three of their past five with a draw against host Jacksonville last week.
Fort Lauderdale is now fifth in the NASL combined standings with the top four making the postseason.
The Strikers are five points back of fourth-place Minnesota United with those two meeting Aug. 31 in Lauderhill.
