Seven Edison players account for scores in victory over Krop

Edison wasted little time unleashing its offensive arsenal as seven players accounted for scores in the season-opening blowout. And Martis Burke picked off two passes, the first a 27-yard interception return for a score that broke a 7-7 tie with 2:27 left in the first quarter.

That was all the Red Raiders needed in putting together a dominant performance on a night Krop quarterback Raekwon Hankerson was injured after turning a busted play into a nifty scramble late in the second half. Hankerson scored with 6:50 to go in the third on a 1-yard run after Nick Khouri's punt block gave the Lightning the ball at the 1-yard line.
