Steve Hollingsworth scored three times, and Markel Anderson rushed for 109 yards as Miami Beach rolled past Edison on Friday night in a nondistrict matchup at Memorial Stadium.

The Hi-Tides (4-2) took advantage of two poor first quarter punts by the Red Raiders (1-5) to score on a pair of short runs by Hollingsworth.

Hollingsworth and Anderson added short touchdown runs.

And Miami Beach sophomore quarterback Osky Serbin hit Randle Jones on a 37-yard pass to complete the scoring.

Edison’s best chance to score came in the second quarter. After recovering a Hi-Tide fumble, the Red Raiders drove to the Beach 14 but stalled when Malik WIlliams scooped up a fumble by Edison’s Jhoan Tejada.

Edison’s Fredrick Thornton finished with eight receptions for 79 yards.
