Osceola fuels comeback for University School

University School’s volleyball team defeated American Heritage in a five-set match 17-25, 25-23, 15-25, 25-23, 15-12 on Thursday.

The Suns battled back after losing the first set and trailed 2-1 before winning the final two sets.

Brooke Osceola led the way for University as she registered 30 assists, five kills and four aces.

Oseceola and the Suns also got help from Kaela Fennell-Chin, who added 12 kills, 10 digs and nine aces.

With the win, the Suns improved to 7-16 on the season.

Pine Crest took down visiting Park Vista 25-19, 22-15, 24-14, 25-21.

The Panthers got off to a good start. They won the first set, but stumbled in the second set before bouncing back to win the next two and the match.

Genna Luciano headlined the match for the Panthers with 13 kills, five digs and four blocks.

Pine Crest improved to 5-11 with the win.

The Highlanders of Highlands Christian beat Berean Christian 25-17, 16-25, 25-15, 25-23.

Kealy Wik led the way for Highlands Christian with 35 assists, 13 points, two digs and two kills.

Kaitlin Smith, like Wik, performed at a very high level for the Highlanders as she added 38 digs, nine points and three kills.

The Highlanders, fresh off a win against Westminster Academy on Tuesday, improved to 8-13 after their most recent win.
