Quarterback Nick Jeanty threw for six touchdowns to lead Class 8A No. 2 Miramar to victory over visiting McArthur 56-0 on Friday.
The Patriots (6-0, 3-0 District 12-8A) scored on a flea-flicker on the game’s first play and never looked back as Jeanty threw for 215 yards in the opening half, including a pair of scoring strikes to Kahlil Lewis. Eric Pittman added a pair of scoring runs.
Miramar continued to shut down opponents on defense, registering its second consecutive shutout and third of the season. The Patriots forced four turnovers and held McArthur (1-4, 0-3) to just 78 yards of total offense in the victory.
