Dylan Rupert leads Cypress Bay in win vs. Cooper City

Cypress Bay (3-2, 2-1) defeated Cooper City (2-4, 1-1) on the road 24-13 in a district match-up on Friday evening.

Senior running back Dylan Rupert led the way for the Lightning with 190 yards rushing and a touchdown.

Senior running backs Zach Tasse and Jarrett Morgan led the offensive charge for the Cowboys. The tandem scored a touchdown apiece and combined for 280 total yards.

Lightning kicker Jonathan Semerene nailed a 53-yard field goal in the third quarter.

The Cowboys offense struggled in the first half, with a fumbled snap on a field goal attempt, a missed field goal, and a muffed punt that led to a Lightning touchdown.

The Lightning will take on Western at home in the upcoming week, while the Cowboys will face Flanagan on the road.
