Justin Brown, Westminster Christian, boys’ basketball: Brown had 24 points to lead the Warriors to a 72-61 win over Archbishop Carroll and their first district championship since 2000.
Nicole Jimenez, Florida Christian, girls’ basketball: Jimenez had 21 points, 11 steals and six assists to lead the Patriots to a Region 4-4A quarterfinal win over Booker T. Washington.
Kiko Poleo, Gulliver, boys’ soccer: Poleo had two goals to lead the Raiders to a 6-1 win over Delray American Heritage in the Region 4-2A final.
Caleb Acosta, SLAM Academy, boys’ soccer: Acosta scored twice to help the Titans clinch a trip to the state final four in only its second year with a 4-1 win over Sagemont.
Amanda Martin, Miami Country Day, girls’ soccer: Martin scored a goal to lead the Spartans despite a 2-1 loss to Lakeland Christian in a Class 1A state semifinal.
Alexis Castroman, American, softball: Castroman pitched a no-hitter striking out seven in a 10-0 win over University School.
Mauricio Valladares, Reagan, boys’ tennis: Valladares won a close match over Palmetto’s Mark Hellinger.
Alexandria Hitt, Coral Reef, girls’ tennis: Hitt won his girls’ singles match to lead the Barracudas over South Miami.
