UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor will get the rematch he wanted against Nate Diaz at UFC 202 on Saturday, Aug. 20, and if that isn’t enough and he wants to back his recent pro wrestling wordings, he has an open challenge from a legendary pro wrestler.
McGregor faces Diaz in a highly anticipated rematch in the main event of UFC 202 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
McGregor has been opening a can of worms by bad mouthing World Wrestling Entertainment superstars. He even called WWE Superstar John Cena “a fat 40-year-old failed Mr. Olympia [bleep bleep].” He also trash talked WWE’s locker room.
Former WWF tag team champs Brian Knobbs and Jerry Sags of the legendary tag team The Nasty Boys joined The Roman Show to discuss the upcoming Legends of Wrestling event at Marlins Park in Miami on Saturday, Aug. 27.

Tickets are already on sale here. Wrestling legends WWE Hall of Famer Booker T., Warlord of the Powers of Pain, Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake and the Nasty Boys will conduct autograph sessions.
Like many in his profession, Sags didn’t take McGregor’s vocal shot lightly.
“He would get shredded,” Sags said. “I know 15 guys who would shred him like a piece of paper. He would get his ass handed to him on a plate. I’d be the first in line to take him out. I’ll be the first to volunteer. I’ll go in the ring with him one-on-one.”
Las Vegas to Miami is about a five hour flight, and McGregor would have a six day rest, giving the UFC bad boy time to take Sags’ challenge.
Sags says McGregor better think twice.
“He better realize in professional wrestling there are amazing athletes in the world,” he said. “The guys are ex-Olympic champions, judo champions, football players. boxers...They trained in different skills.”
Sags and Knobbs also talked about CM Punk’s mixed martial arts debut at UFC 203 in September.
