South Florida was well represented at WWE WrestleMania 32 with The Rock and Shaquille O’Neal as well as WWE superstars Big Show and Konnor.

Rock and Shaq each received a huge ovation from the crowd on Sunday, April 3 at AT&T Stadium.

Before the main event, the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders performed atop the ramp, and then The Rock’s music hit, sending the audience in a frenzy.

The Rock, wearing a Brama Bull tank top, peered at the fans from the center of the ring, before addressing them with, “Finally The Rock has come back to Dallas....which means The Rock has finally come back to WrestleMania.”

He did his patented “millions and millions” with the crowd.

Then Rock announced that WrestleMania 32 drew101,763 fans, which is a WWE WrestleMania record, surpassing WrestleMania 3 with 93,000-plus for Hulk vs. Andre in 1987 at the Pontiac Silverdome near Detroit.

The Wyatt Family, led by Bray Wyatt, interrupted The Rock as the lights shut off, and a sea of 100,000 cell phone lights filled the stadium. Bray -- with his signature lantern and eerie music -- and his family (Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman) made their way to the ring. Luke Harper is injured.

Wyatt cut a promo, looking to destroy The Rock.

Rock fired back with his verbiage as only he can, and then called for a match, removing his tank top and pull-away pants to sport his Rock tights.

He Rock-bottomed Rowan to win in six seconds, the fastest pin in WrestleMania history. Bray slapped his fallen family member.

Not over. The Wyatts surrounded the ring and began approaching Rock, when John Cena’s music hit.

Cena, who is recovering from injury, helped Rock derail Rowan, Strowman and Wyatt.

Cena sported the orange and green in honor of The Rock, a University of Miami graduate.

Rock hugged his family, seated ringside.

ShaqMania

Shaq -- a Barry University grad, a South Florida sheriff, a champion Miami Heat player -- was a surprise entry in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Shaq eliminated Damien Sandow.

Shaq stood toe to toe, face-to-face in the middle of the ring with the Big Show, who lives in Pinecrest, while all the other participants just watched in awe.

As Shaq and Big Show were choking each other in a stand-still, the other combatants returned to the ring and eliminated both.

Shaq pounded the mat on the ground a few times, after being eliminated.

Diamond Dallas Page returned, eliminating Viktor of the Ascension. Konnor, who attended Coconut Creek High School and trained at Rusty Brooks’ School of Hard Knocks in Hollywood, tossed out DDP. Kane then eliminated Konnor, also of the Ascension. Miami’s Darren Young participated, too, assisting Kane, but Kane did not reciprocate, and Young’s chances were over.

Baron Corbin of WWE’s NXT shocked the WWE Universe by winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. His name joins past winners Cesaro and Big Show as a holder of the special Andre the Giant trophy.

WrestleMania High-flight

Shane McMahon dove 20 feet off the top of the steel cage for the WrestleMania highlight, but Undertaker won the match in Hell in a Cell. Shane will not control Raw, and Taker will continue competing in WrestleMania(s).

That move must have elicited some ?fond? memories for Mick Foley. As Mankind, Foley was thrown off the top of the cage by Undertaker at King of the Ring 1998. Foley participated in WrestleMania 32, so he must have seen the dive and aftermath backstage.

This isn’t the first time Shane made a big leap. Against the Big Show in a Last Man Standing match at Backlash 2001, McMahon performed a leap of faith.

Women's Wrestling Legit

Charlotte with a little help from Ric Flair made Becky Lynch tap to become the first WWE women’s champion and be the last to wear the WWE Divas’ title.

Flair prevented the BO$$ Sasha Banks from returning to the ring while Charlotte ended the stellar triple threat match with the bridged figure four.

During introductions, Lita stood in the ring with the new women’s title. The divas’ title retired.

Awesome entrances: Banks with her cousin WWE Hall of Famer Snoop Dogg by her side rapping her entrance. Banks and Dogg wore an outfit in honor of the late, great Eddy Guerrero, who inspired Banks to wrestle. Charlotte entered with a Ric Flair styled robe, pieced from Flair’s robe he wore in his retirement match at WrestleMania 24 in Orlando. Lynch always sports cool gear.
