A physical weekend scrimmage produced a laundry list of minor injuries for the Florida Gators.
UF practiced with just two scholarship tailbacks Monday, as 11 players missed the morning workout.
Starting tailback Kelvin Taylor sat out with a hamstring strain, but the sophomore should return to action by “Thursday or Friday,” according to coach Will Muschamp.
Backup tailback Matt Jones and sixth-year senior receiver Andre Debose were out with knee swelling, and redshirt freshman running back Adam Lane missed the open practice with an undisclosed injury.
Muschamp also said defensive ends Alex McCalister (shoulder), Bryan Cox Jr. (shoulder) and Jon Bullard (ankle), as well as offensive guard Trip Thurman (shoulder), had “minor” injuries. They were all listed as “day-to-day.”
Lastly, Freshmen defensive linemen Thomas Holley and Taven Bryan remain sidelined indefinitely. Bryan is battling strep throat, and Holley, a potential rotational player inside, will undergo a procedure to remove scar tissue from a previous sports hernia surgery.

missed his fourth consecutive day of training camp, but Muschamp said he should be back Tuesday or Wednesday.
“Vernon ran in the Ultra-G non-gravity treadmill today and looks fine,” Muschamp said.
