Florida State Seminoles prepare for The Citadel’s triple-option offense

Florida State will be heavily favored over FCS opponent The Citadel when the two meet Saturday at Doak Campbell Stadium.

That hasn't stopped coach Jimbo Fisher from paying close attention to the Bulldogs' triple-option offense.

Florida State doesn't often see triple-option teams — Georgia Tech runs it but is rarely on FSU's schedule — which means the Seminoles don't often prepare for it.

“That is a pain in the tail, now,” Fisher said. “It's very disciplined and they know all the little tricks and things off of that so we're going to have to play very good.”
