Playing a season-opener in a professional stadium is nothing new to most of Florida State's roster. The Seminoles did it just last season, opening their 2013 national title run with a win at Pittsburgh's Heinz Field.
Still, coach Jimbo Fisher doesn't want to take any chances. So he plans on taking his team for a walk-through of AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, in advance of Saturday's contest against Oklahoma State (8 p.m., ABC).
“We may stop by and take a half-hour before walk-through and have them turn on all the lights and bells and whistles on and catch a few punts here or there,” Fisher said. “Throw some balls around just to get used to that atmosphere.”
FSU has started 1-0 in each season since Fisher took over as head coach in 2010.
