Jaxson Dart Facing Backlash For Introducing President Trump At Campaign Event

New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart is making headlines this Friday, but it has nothing to do with his skills on the gridiron.

Dart, the 25th overall pick from last year's NFL Draft, had 2,272 passing yards, 487 rushing yards and 24 total touchdowns during his rookie season with the G-Men. The Ole Miss product gave the franchise some much-needed hope without having a true No. 1 wideout at his disposal.

So why is Dart trending on social media this weekend? Well, he agreed to introduce President Donald Trump at his campaign event at Rockland Community College in Suffern, New York.

"What an honor, what a privilege it is to be here," Dart said. "Without further ado, I'm grateful, I'm honored, I'm pleasured to introduce the 45th and 47th president of the United States of America, President Donald J. Trump."

NFL fans voiced their displeasure immediately after the official White House Rapid Response account shared footage of Dart's introduction.

"Wow Jaxson Dart on hatewatch forever now," one fan wrote on X.

"We need to bury this guy under Lincoln Financial Field," a Philadelphia Eagles fan declared.

"Yeah I'm just gonna pretend my QB isn't speaking at this rally," a Giants fan commented.

"File this under things that New York Giants players should never ever be doing," another fan said.

Dart is entering Year 2 with a chip on his shoulder.

Despite his productive 2025 season, Dart only received one first-place vote for AP Offensive Rookie of the Year. He made it clear that he wasn't thrilled with the voters.

"I guess more people have conversations and things to say about me sliding that has nothing to do with my play on the field," Dart told the New York Post. "…Turn off the pictures of the players and just look at the numbers, I feel like they speak for themselves, I don't need to argue that. I have respect for the other guys that were part of it. … It's a chip on my shoulder for sure."

The Giants will begin their 2026 season on "Sunday Night Football" against the Dallas Cowboys.
