NASCAR Truck Series Starting Lineup at Charlotte Motor Speedway
The mood at Charlotte Motor Speedway is a somber one this weekend amid the sudden passing of Kyle Busch. However, racing is scheduled to take place. With the Truck Series set to go green on Friday night, May 22, Corey Day will be on the pole in the vintage No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet, which Busch drove to victory lane one week ago at Dover Motor Speedway.
Practice and qualifying were both canceled amid rain taking over the 1.5-mile D-shaped oval in Concord, North Carolina. NASCAR plans to race at 7:30 p.m. ET, if they can.

Corey Day will take the green flag on pole position. The matter is bittersweet in one way: Kyle Busch had originally been slated to drive the truck this weekend, seven days after his win at Dover Motor Speedway last week.
Due to rain, practice and qualifying were canceled as the starting grid was set by the metric. It just so happens that the metric favors the No. 7 truck, which won last week. Day will be on the pole in that familiar No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet.
