Podcast: Greg Cote Show Episode 13 turns up volume with rock star Brendan Benson of Raconteurs

We told you The Greg Cote Show With Greg Cote podcast would be a variety show that surprises you, and we prove it again in Episode 13.

We are joined by rock star Brendan Benson as our special guest. Benson co-fronts, along with Jack White, The Raconteurs, who had the No. 1 album on the Billboard charts last summer and a sold-out world tour. Benson just released to critical acclaim his first solo album in seven years, called “Dear Life,” and we’ll hear some of it.

Our fun conversation includes being a musician during a pandemic, when to expect new Raconteurs music, looking dorky in a baseball uniform and the night he unexpectedly found out a certain member of the Rolling Stones was a big fan of his.

The new podcast also includes another edition of “Greg’s Mail Sack,” in which Greg answers listeners’ questions. We premiered this bit in Episode 5 and its’ back by popular demand.

Also on the menu in our jam-packed latest episode: Bravely dining in a restaurant again; a celebration of Ryan Fitzpatrick’s glorious pandemic beard; top five athletes (in Miami and nationally) to wear the number 13; and our earliest sorts memories.

Hear all of that and more in Greg Cote Show Episode 13! Find a new episode out every Monday morning on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iTunes, Stitcher, Megaphone, iHeart and wherever else you do your podding, including at MiamiHerald.com.
