Teams in the Volvo Ocean Race made a dry run Thursday, the first day they could practice against each other during their stopover in Miami.
They were preparing for Saturday's "in-port" race, which earns points toward the total in the around-the-world race.
Telefónica is the points leader in the race after six of its nine legs.
On Sunday, the teams leave Miami for Lisbon, Portugal.
