Now that the primaries are over, I hope people will begin to pay attention to the good things that Gov. Rick Scott is doing for Florida. He is working to bring better paying jobs to the state and also dedicated to K-12 and college-bound students.
Scott recently unveiled his Let’s Keep Florida Learning initiative, which dedicates historic amounts of money to students in K-12. His Let’s Keep College Affordable initiative will hold the line on tuition and fees, create world-class research institutions and encourage degrees at state colleges to remain at the $10,000 level.
It also sets goals for Florida being No. 1 in affordability, for students finding jobs in their field and in percentage of those getting STEM degrees.
