The Aug. 10 article, Negative campaign drowns out key issues, failed to mention that there is a candidate running in the Democratic primary for governor who does have a strong platform and who brings commitment to improve our schools, our environment, women's rights and more. A Florida state senator for 12 years, Nan Rich is powered by a passion that allowed her to get bills passed that brought us programs to improve the lives of children and their parents. If Floridians truly want change, we must know the issues and learn about the candidates. Rich is a fighter and despite the fact that Charlie Crist refuses to debate her, she works tirelessly to ultimately change our political landscape. Apathy and big money should not dictate elections.
