Stolen gun not routine

In the June 30 police report in the Neighbors section mentions a 48-year-old man who was cleaning his van and noticed his 9mm glock was missing. He'd seen it three days before, and it was in the original box. His van was not broken into.

This was portrayed as routine, no big deal. We need to change that. It is a big deal! This guy and all gun owners should be responsible and get some training. I hope he is a good guy, but now we have another weapon in the hands of a bad guy.
