With all the noise concerning Russian collusion with some of Donald Trump’s campaign and current staff members, facts have been hard to come by.
The last big scandal occurred in 1973 following a break-in at the DNC headquarters at the Watergate office complex. President Nixon fired independent special prosecutor Archibald Cox. That led to the resignations of Attorney General Elliot Richardson and Deputy Attorney General William Ruckelshaus. What brought Nixon to justice was secret information provided to two Washington Post reporters. Not wanting to reveal their source, the reporters introduced the term Deep Throat to the public.
We need another Deep Throat today.
