We live in a fractious society in desperate need of a conversation on values. The media could begin this process by bearing witness.
Future generations must know what occurred and how it all unfolded. They need to learn how disgruntled white Americans discovered a path to recover a country to which they felt entitled and that they believed had been lost.
Future generations must know about the evil that destroyed us as a nation after great men such as Lincoln and Roosevelt guided us through previous crises and kept our values intact. They will need to know and an engaged and moral media to tell them.
