Ongoing roadwork will delay the commute this week in Miami-Dade County on the Homestead Extension of Florida's Turnpike and on State Road 836.
On Florida's Turnpike, one outside lane southbound between Southwest 216th and 288th streets will be closed from 9:30 p.m. to midnight Thursday for widening and express lane construction.
On the turnpike, up to two lanes in either direction between Southwest 26th Street and Eureka Drive may be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday.
Also on the turnpike, one lane in either direction between Eureka Drive and Killian Parkway may be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday.
On 836, meanwhile, the entrance ramps to the eastbound highway from northbound and southbound Northwest 27th Avenue will be intermittently closed for paving on through Thursday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night and again on Friday from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Also on 836, the entrance ramp to the eastbound expressway from Northwest 57th Avenue will be intermittently closed for earthwork on through Thursday, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night and again on Friday, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
There will be a complete closure of all lanes on Northwest 14th Street between Northwest 37th and 42nd avenues/LeJeune Road for drainage construction on through Friday from9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each night.
