Roadwork will pick up this week in anticipation of the year-end holidays, leading to several lane closures and restrictions on South Florida highways.
Several ramps will close intermittently for paving along State Road 836 this week through Thursday 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night.
They include ramps at Northwest 17th, 27th, 37th, 42nd, 45th, 57th and 107th avenues.
All northbound lanes on 826 at the West Flagler Street/Northwest 72nd Avenue/Milam Dairy Road exit will be closed 11 p.m. Friday and reopen 6 a.m. Saturday. The shut-down will allow workers to open additional lanes on 826 north of Northwest 12th Street.

All northbound lanes on 826 will also be closed at Northwest 25th Street on Tuesday Dec. 22-23 between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Meanwhile, the eastbound 836 flyover bridge to northbound 826 will be closed 10 p.m. Friday and reopen 6 a.m. Saturday. The westbound 836 ramp to northbound 826 will be closed at 10 p.m. Friday and reopen 6 a.m . Saturday. Also, the northbound 826 ramp from Northwest 11th Street at Milam Dairy Road will be closed between 10 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Saturday.
On Florida’s Turnpike, one or two northbound or southbound lanes may be closed nightly at various locations between Southwest 216th Street and Eureka Drive/184th Street between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. through Thursday.
Also on the turnpike, one or two lanes in each direction between Southwest 104th Street/Killian Parkway and 184th Street/Eureka Drive may be closed nightly between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. through Thursday. A third lane in either direction may also be closed between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m., if needed.
On U.S. 1/Dixie Highway, one or two lanes in each direction may be closed nightly at the Turnpike interchange between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. through Thursday, Dec. 17.
