She wanted a beer so she called 911 — and cops responded

She really, really wanted beer.

But instead of going to her local convenience store, Jennifer Sue Sunday called 911. Twice. In about a four-hour span.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, the St. Petersburg resident called once at around noon Friday, then again at 3:41 p.m., saying she had a medical issue. When the paramedics arrived after the second call on Friday, Sunday was visibly intoxicated, and told the EMT crew she needed beer. It is unclear why the unemployed caller was not arrested after the first bogus call.

The suspect "did knowingly use or attempt to use such service in an effort to avoid any charge for service," read the arrest report.

This type of activity is nothing new for the suspect, reports The Tampa Bay Times.

The newspaper reports the 57-year-old woman has misused the emergency call system a whopping 28 times since February.

Prior arrests include battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest with violence and criminal mischief.

Sunday was released Saturday on her own recognizance.
