Video captures chaos after shots fired at NFL player's pool party
Guests were having a raucous time Sunday evening at a pool party at a Tampa area Clarion Inn thrown by NFL free agent Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.
Fun turned to terror in an instant.
Video footage posted on the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office's Facebook page captures the chaotic scene at the event reportedly attended by more than 500 people.
Hip hop music plays in the background, people stand around with drinks and paper flies in the air.
Suddenly, from the other side of the pool, you hear screams and begin to see attendees fleeing for their lives.
According to the sheriff's office, when deputies arrived, they did not locate any victims, but later discovered a victim who was treated at a hospital for a gunshot wound and released.
The post adds that the victim is "not being cooperative with detectives or providing details at this time."
The Clarion Inn told the Tampa Bay Times that the "Incident occurred off site."
On Monday, Cromartie showed up to the former New York Giants cornerback's 10th annual celebrity basketball game.
