Thanks to Dr. Dembrow who is now retired, I had a lumpectomy 13 years ago. Luckily, after signing scary releases, all went well. The kind doctor went to the waiting room to inform my husband that I did well. He approached my son, 45 years old, to inform him thinking he was my spouse. My son asked me “how could you go to a doctor who can’t see?” Funny, but a flattering story.
P.S. I had 6 weeks of radiation at Mt. Sinai Hospital, which actually was a pleasant experience because of the staff. Then I went to play tennis.
