A Florida man arrested two years ago after he pulled a knife on deputies said he tried to make good on his “wrongdoings” by attacking a sex offender with a hammer, daily commercial.com reports.
Ian Michael Saum of Clermont was charged this week with burglary and criminal mischief. Cops say he looked up sex offenders online and then tried to attack one by ringing his doorbell and asking for a man believed to be a sex offender.
Saum, 26, lunged at the man, according to the report, before the homeowner shut the door on him. The door was dented with hammer marks.
Saum was stun-gunned in the stomach by deputies in 2014 after they say he was walking toward them with a knife.
