Two Florida parents are accused of using a stun gun to discipline their four children, news-press.com reports.

"They were using it as a tool to deter the children from misbehaving," according to the Lee County Sheriff's Office report. "The stun gun inflicted pain compliance on the children and left visible marks on two of the children."

Joshua Pierre Louis, 28, and Roxanne Paduani, 33, of Leigh Acres were charged last week with child abuse.

“I’m in shock,” Beatrice Youngs, who knows Louis, told news-press.com when she learned of the arrests.

The children, whose ages were not released, are staying with relatives.

A Lee County Sheriff's Office arrest reports says one of the four children at the Lehigh Acres home told a DCF investigator that Louis would use a Taser on them when they were bad and showed the investigator scars, according to The Associated Press. The parents are being held on $200,000 bail.
