Two fishermen whose boat flipped in the waters off Bal Harbour were rescued late Saturday by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.
Both boaters were taken to a hospital and are in stable condition, according to fire-rescue reports.
“They were in the water for a long time,” Lt. Andy Machado of Miami-Dade Fire Rescue told Miami Herald news partner CBS4. “They’re all stable medically, exhausted from the ordeal. They are very lucky, yes very lucky.
The county launched water and air rescue crews to search for the boaters who were reported missing south of Haulover Inset. The Coast Guard also took part in the search mission.
