A 36-year-old Myakka man is charged with having sex with a 16-year-old girl and sending her explicit text messages about sexual acts, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

When interviewed by detectives, Donald R. Field drew a “not to scale” drawing of his penis to explain exactly what he and the teen did, according to an arrest report.

Field met the victim and her father at a Cracker Barrel on Nov. 1 and encouraged the victim to apply for a job at his workplace, Dakin Dairy Farm, telling her he would put in a good word for her, according to the arrest report.

Over the next three days, Field and the girl communicated through text messages, phone calls and Facetime. The victim’s phone was examined by investigators and included explicit messages, including Field asking the girl to send nude pictures of herself.

Field took the girl on two dinner dates on Nov. 2 and Nov. 3 before driving her to his residence on Nov. 4. The victim told deputies that Field touched her breasts before the two went into his bedroom and had sex, according to the report.

Field told investigators that they were watching the movie 300 when a sex scene came on and the victim began to “come onto him.” He said she went to the bathroom and came back in only a T-shirt and got on top of him, and the two had sex.

Field then drew investigators a “not to scale” drawing of his penis to illustrate what had happened, according to the report.

Field made several admissions during law enforcement interviews that he was aware of the victim’s age at the time of the offenses, investigators said.

Field, who faces charges of unlawful sex with a minor and using a computer to lure a child, was arrested on Friday and is being held in the Manatee County jail on $17,500 bond.
