A New Smyrna Beach man was arrested after trying to make meth in a public park bathroom, The Daytona Beach News-Journal reported.
Justin Hill, 20, was booked into Volusia County Jail Tuesday and charged with possession of paraphernalia, manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of cannabis (less than 20 grams) and burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, records show. He is being held on $56,000 bond.
A construction worker called police Tuesday morning to report white smoke that smelled of chemicals and acid coming from the men’s bathroom at Detwiler Park, the News-Journal reported.
When police and a hazmat team arrived at the park, they found remnants of a one-pot meth lab.
