A Delray Beach man who told police he does “stupid things” when he is drunk was arrested Saturday after allegedly firing his gun in public, the Palm Beach Post reported.
Ryan Paul Flaherty, 30, was charged with carrying a concealed firearm, firing a weapon in public, using a firearm under the influence of alcohol and improper exhibition of a firearm, records show. He was released from Palm Beach County Jail Sunday after posting a $5,000 bond.
When Delray Beach police were called to a Pizza Hut at 335 East Linton Boulevard, witnesses told officers that Flaherty had displayed a gun and claimed that he fired in the ocean, the Post reported.
