Beloved pint-sized dog faces eviction without $1 million policy

Palm Beach Gardens resident Scott Arnold said he was stunned by the news: He had to buy a $1 million umbrella liability policy or pack up Paddington, his pint-sized pet, and get out.

“He might lick you to death,” Arnold said.

Paddington and Arnold’s other dog, Teddy, are not Rottweilers, pit bulls or otherwise breeds typically considered dangerous or threatening, he said. Paddington is a Bichone Frise and Teddy is a Havenese, little guys kept on leashes, as he tells it. But the word from management where he rents, Legends at the Gardens, was get seven-figure coverage or get moving, he said.
