The National Weather Service in Miami-Dade issued a hazardous weather outlook for South Florida with a high risk of ocean rip currents through Wednesday evening.

Beachgoers can expect waves between five to seven feet and wind speeds of up to 25 mph, said meterologist Chuch Caracozza.

A small craft advisory for Atlantic waters was issued as well and will be in effect until 1 p.m.

Later in the week, the “winds are going to start to die down,” Caracozza said.
