A pair of armed robbers stuck up a clerk at a Key Largo Tom Thumb convenience store Thursday night, getting away with cash and two cartons of cigarettes.
The young armed assailants did little to conceal their identities. Their faces were clearly photographed by the mile marker 102.6 gas station’s security cameras. Monroe County Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking the public’s help to identify the couple.
The clerk told police that the suspects entered the store just before 8 p.m., and the man asked for two cartons of cigarettes. When the clerk asked to see ID, the male pulled out what looked to be a black semi-automatic Glock pistol, which he pointed at the victim.
