The former athletic director of a West Kendall charter school was arrested again Friday and charged with seven more sex crimes after a second victim, a 17-year-old girl, told police they had a sexual relationship.
Paul Michael Mira, 29, of the 13400 block of West Calusa Drive in West Kendall, who worked as the athletic director of Archimedean Middle Conservatory-Archimedean Upper Conservatory at 12425 SW 72nd St. in West Kendall, now faces seven counts of unlawful sexual activity with a specified minor.
Those charges are in addition to the two counts of lewd and lascivious battery on a child and one count of lewd and lascivious molestation on a child for the first victim, a 12-year-old girl.
According to police, in the first case, he used his position at work to engage in unlawful sexual conduct with a 12-year-old girl between October and Nov. 3 at different locations. A police investigation began on Nov. 9 and a warrant for his arrest was issued on Nov. 22. On Dec. 12, police in Polk County arrested him and he was brought to Miami-Dade County on Dec. 16.

In the second case with the 17-year-old, he is accused of having sexual relations with her between May and August 2011.
School officials previously told reporters that Mira was suspended with pay pending the outcome of the case.
