A late Wednesday afternoon drive-by shooting in North Miami-Dade took the lives of two men and led to a short car chase, according to Miami-Dade police.
The chase ended with two people in custody. Arrests were made Wednesday in the deaths of Miami's 23-year-old Myqueal Fisher and 29-year-old Willie Randle, a father of three from Northeast Miami-Dade. Miami-Dade police say officers found the two men in the front yard of a house at 9528 NW 22nd Avenue around 5:57 p.m.
Fisher, just released from prison a month and a day earlier, was dead on the scene. Randle died at Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center.
Witnesses described a suspicious vehicle in the area, a description police say matched that of a white Nissan SUV officers saw shortly after the shooting. A chase ensued.
One man jumped out of the car at Northwest 71st Street and 14th Avenue, leaving the driver to continue trying to escape police. The driver was taken into custody after crashing into another automobile around Northwest 67th Street and 10th Avenue.
