A 61-year-old Plantation man died Tuesday morning after being shot in his home, according to Plantation police.
Who shot the man and what led to the shooting remains under investigation.
Plantation police said a 911 call from a home in the 700 block of Northwest 89th Avenue, The Waves Apartment Homes, reported an intruder. The caller set the phone down, and a "bang" was heard.
When police arrived, the resident had a gunshot wound to the leg. He died after being taken to Broward Health Medical Center.

There was no sign of forced entry and the gun on the scene belonged to the resident.
