Miami-Dade police are looking for a man who detectives say offered to take a 10-year-old girl to school and after she agreed, made sexual advances before dropping her off.
Police say the 10-year-old girl was sitting at a Miami-Dade Transit Bus Stop at Northwest 100th Street and 22nd Avenue at about 7 a.m. Monday when a man in a newer model blue Kia Soul approached her. He offered her a ride to school, police say. She accepted and got in.
Instead of driving her straight to school, police say he went to a Westar Gas Station at 1601 NW 119th St. and “made an inappropriate sexual request to the victim.”
“The victim refused to comply with his request and demanded he take her to school,” police said in a news release. “She was dropped off at school unharmed.”

Police, who released a sketch of the man Tuesday, are treating the case as an abduction.
The man is described as being 20 to 30 years old with long dreads worn in a stocking cap. He possibly has one gold tooth and was last seen wearing green pajama pants and a white T-shirt, police said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Det. D. Edwards or any detective in the Miami-Dade Police Department’s Special Victims Bureau/Missing Persons Unit at 305-715-3300 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477).
