A 12-year-old girl’s diary entry led to the arrest of a 49-year-old man investigators say has a pattern of dating single mothers and sexually abusing their children.
Jackson Pridemore, 49, was arrested in Lexington, Kentucky, after a Kentucky woman found a letter in her stepdaughter’s diary addressed to Pridemore that read, “you raped me for about three years.” The young girl used to live in Boynton Beach with her biological mother and her then-boyfriend Pridemore, police said.
The girl told police that Pridemore started raping her at age 7, whenever her mother was at work. She said she told no one about the abuse.
Boyton Beach police said that Pridemore has previously been accused of sexually abusing two other girls while in similar relationships with their mothers. When detectives arrested Pridemore on charges of sexually abusing a child under 12, they said he was living with another single mother.
