Family zip-tied at gunpoint in Hialeah home invasion

Two Hialeah residents heard a noise early Friday morning.

That noise turned out to be a man with a bandana on his face and a gun in his hand. He demanded money and jewelry, and he bound the victims with zip ties before he ransacked their home on the 700 block of Southeast Sixth Place.

Hialeah police said the 6-foot man was last seen wearing a long-sleeved black shirt.

Anyone with information is urged to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305.471.TIPS.
