Miami police are investigating the shooting of a 16-year-old who was shot in the back Tuesday night.
The incident occurred at 838 NW 58th St. around 10:45p.m., said a Miami police spokesman, Officer Christopher Bess. According to detectives, the victim was riding his bike when a red car pulled up next to him. The shooter got out of the car and opened fire, shooting the victim multiple times, Bess said.
The victim was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center in stable condition. Bess said police do not know if the victim was the intended target or what the motive was for the shooting.
