Missing Miami-Dade girl found after leaving in a car outside an elementary school: Cops

Police on Thursday located a 12-year-old girl who had disappeared the day before outside an elementary school in North Miami.

Katherine Rijo Mendez had been last seen around 2:30 p.m Wednesday leaving Natural Bridge Elementary School, 1650 NE 141st St., in a newer model white Honda Accord with an unknown tag, according to a Miami-Dade Schools Police Department.
