Yogurbella to hold kid-friendly benefit in Midtown

The frozen yogurt shop Yogurbella is hosting a kid friendly event in Midtown this weekend, featuring free face painting, balloon animals and music.

The occasion is to mark the grand opening of the new Midtown store, which has been open for about a month at  3401 N. Miami Avenue. It will run from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on both Saturday, March 5 and Sunday March 6.

Alli Martin, District Manager for Yogurbella, says that one dollar from every purchase will be donated to the Dan Marino Foundation, which she said was chosen because of the work the charity does to benefit children.

The Midtown store joins four other Yogurbella franchises in Miami.

Another option for frozen yogurt nearby: Angelina's, a cafe on NE 1st Ave with self serve yogurt, crepes and "adult" grill cheese.
